LOGISTICS FACILITY

UIB Konan Phase I

Konan, Shiga Prefecture, Greater Osaka, Japan

Development of a 3F partially ramped logistics facility in Konan, Shiga Prefecture, Greater Osaka, as Phase I of the Konan project. The site covers 45,000 sqm with a GFA of 63,000 sqm. Strategically located, the facility provides access to 30% of Japan’s population and 15 prefectures within a 4-hour drive, with connections to Kyoto in 35 minutes, Osaka in 60 minutes, and Nagoya in 90 minutes. The property is 0.7km from National Road No. 1 and 2.1 km from Ritto Konan Interchange on the E1 Meishin Expressway.

Key features are 80 truck courts, ceiling clear heights of 6 to 8m, floor loading of 1.5 to 2.5 tons per sqm, cargo elevator, vertical conveyor, and hoist crane. The facility provides on-site parking, fully air-conditioned spaces, and 24/7 secure access with password-controlled shutter. Sustainability measures are solar panels, LED lighting with sensors, brown water reticulation, and bicycle parking. The site has obtained CASBEE A Rank and BELS 5 Star certifications. The facility was completed in April 2024.
